AUIS students enjoy a vibrant, motivating and safe campus life. Students have the opportunity to learn, grow and express themselves both inside and outside the classroom.

AUIS has several sports teams, including men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer and ping pong. Alternatively, students can hone their acting skills in the drama club, practice their public speaking in the debate society or join the university’s independent student newspaper, the AUIS Voice.

Perhaps most importantly, the diversity of the AUIS campus is unmatched in Iraq, with students hailing from all corners of the country and representing numerous ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds.

AUIS provides gender-separate residential housing for students. These dorms, just like the campus, are guarded around the clock by uniformed forces to guarantee the security of students and the broader university community.
